Design Guidelines

We’ve written the book on building a home in North Rim.

From the first phase of development, Brooks Resources has intended that North Rim be developed and maintained to the highest practical aesthetic standards. Therefore, the North Rim Design Guidelines book, complete with Architectural Rules & Design Guidelines and Landscape Guidelines, have been established to help guide the design and construction of new homes within North Rim.

These documents are available for download in Adobe Acrobat format. The information contained in these documents is intended to help you, your designer or architect, builder, and landscape professional to understand the guidelines regarding the allowable uses and site restrictions within North Rim.

We have also made the Architectural and Landscape Review Committee (ALRC) application forms available for download. The North Rim ALRC exists for the purpose of maintaining the high standards in design development and overseeing appropriate building and property use in each respective development.

Architectural Design Program
At North Rim’s inception in 2004, the Architectural Design Program was created in an effort to share the vision of North Rim, and to promote the high standard of architectural diversity and quality. Four design professionals were selected to produce original home design concepts that exemplify the creativity in architecture and landscape design required in North Rim.

The four architects’ concepts are available below for download, in PDF format. These do not represent a required home style or design professional. Owners may select a design professional and builder of their choice, contingent upon the approval of the Architectural and Landscape Review Committee. North Rim does not promote a particular home design style or theme. Rather, our approach in North Rim is to showcase original and varied approaches to a brilliant integration of home design with the natural surroundings and native environment.

Note: These documents are subject to change. Please call the Brooks Resources Owner Relations Department at 541-382-1662 x 107 or email us to confirm that these documents are up-to-date or for any other questions. The CC&Rs made available here have been scanned and the original recorded CC&Rs govern in the event of differences due to the scanning process.
